Poster holders arouse suspicion in airports

So I've arrived safely and settled in a bit (possibly slightly jetlagged still).

It's been slightly surreal in some places; the Americans do of course do everything big (but necessarily better I hasten to add) and can sometimes be far too friendly.

However, the two most surreal moments have to be experiencing life with a two year old (especially when you live alone like me) and hearing your supervisor reciting nursery rhymes, complete with childish voices. If only he could do it for the papers I don't seem to understand.

  1. I agree Americans do everything "necessarily better", but maybe you meant the opposite? Damn English for having such a vulnerable negation term...
